I have a limited stock of wetsuits that can be borrowed for canyoning or any water-based trips that I lead.
A $10 cleaning fee will be charged for each use (or just buy me a coffee). This way, you can also be assured that what you get is as clean as it can be.
They should fit ~70% of people going on beginner canyoning trips. If your size is XL or S, I may unfortunately not have stock for those. I recommend having your own wetsuit if you're going on 3+ canyoning trips or going on intermediate canyons- more info on this page.
Q: What trips can they be used for?
A: They can only be used for my trips or trips that I participate/co-lead.
Q: Can I use them for trips under another trip leader?
A: Ask that trip leader to contact me. I'm more than happy to offer help.
Q: When will I get my wetsuit?
A: You will get them when you come on the trip.
Q: Can I take the wetsuit home?
A: No. I will take the wetsuit when the trip concludes.
Q: Can I wash the wetsuit myself and save $10?
A: No.
Wetsuits are a tight fit- not too tight, of course. If it's too small to even put them on, then it's too small. Most wetsuit sizes are very similar to the sizing of T-shirts- if you normally wear a L T-shirt, then a L size will fit you.
Thickness recommendation:
2-3mm: Beginner canyons in warm summer day, eg. Empress, Gobsmacker, Grand
3-4mm: All canyons in warm summer day
4-5mm: All canyons in cold days or shoulder season
Some people get colder than others, and the info above is a conservative recommendation. You can get away with thinner wetsuit if you tend to stay really warm or overheat yourself, but you should go with something thicker if you tend to get cold in canyons.
